MTN Customers in Upper East Region Decry Poor Service
Customers of MTN Ghana within the Bolgatanga Central municipality of the Upper East region have expressed frustration and disappointment with the customer service they receive at the MTN office.
The customers complain of extreme overcrowding, long wait times, and inadequate service, which they say is affecting their daily lives.
According to the customers, the Bolgatanga MTN office is the only one in the region that can resolve certain issues, such as SIM card problems, forcing customers from other districts to travel to Bolgatanga and wait in long queues for assistance.
Some customers claimed they have been in the queue at MTN office for two or more days to resolve their issues, which they described as frustration.
The customers attributed the poor service to MTN refusal to expand it’s offices in other districts that can provide similar services.

They called on MTN Ghana to address the issue urgently to minimise the congestion and improve customer service.
Efforts to get management of MTN in Upper East to respond to the customers concerns have not been successful.
But Elias Ayimbila Apasiya, the Assembly Member for the Azorebisi Electoral Area in the Bolgatanga Municipality told ExpressNewsGhana, he engaged the MTN officials to see how best to resolve the problem in the meantime.
Some residents expressed concern as the issue has National security implications due to the continued overcrowded customers among unknown people.
The Bolga Tanga central Customer Services centre appeared to be the only active customers centre serving the entire region of 15 MMDAs, thereby placing customers at frustration point.
