Deputy Minister-Designate for Interior Pledges Careful Review of Citizenship Decisions
The Deputy Minister-designate for Interior, Ebenezer Terlabi, has assured the public that, upon approval by the Appointment Committee, he will exercise great care and thoroughness in his approach to decisions concerning Ghanaian citizenship.
During his vetting session before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Monday, February 24, Mr. Terlabi emphasized his commitment to meticulousness when reviewing the requirements for granting citizenship.
He explained that, if assigned to the role, he would ensure that every case is carefully considered in a responsible and thoughtful manner.
“I think that if my minister decides to get me involved, I can assure you that I will be very meticulous when it comes to looking at such requirements and, where necessary, seek legal advice to support in making informed decisions about who becomes a citizen of this country,” Mr. Terlabi stated.
He further pledged to adopt a careful approach, emphasizing the importance of upholding the integrity of Ghana’s naturalization system.
