Life for Relief and Development Brings Smiles to Over 1,000 Children in Jasikan Communities
In a generous humanitarian effort aimed at uplifting impoverished communities, Life for Relief and Development (LIFE), a U.S.-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has donated thousands of Manna Packs to children and the elderly in several communities within the Oti Region of Ghana.
The Manna Pack, a nutritious food product containing a fortified blend of rice and soy, is designed to help boost children’s health and supplement their diet.
A total of 3,000 Manna Packs boxes were on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 distributed to encourage children to remain in school and motivate those who have been absent to return to their studies.
The donation reached children in the underserved communities of Jasikan and its surrounding areas.
LIFE’s Country Director, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, led the team on this meaningful mission. Speaking on the initiative, he emphasized that the donation was part of the organization’s broader goal to positively impact vulnerable communities.
“The donation is a fulfillment of our mission to support children, particularly the most deprived ones, and to show them that they are loved and appreciated,” Alhaji Farouk said. “Children from these communities often face challenges due to the lack of family support, and it’s essential that we work to correct this disparity.”
The NGO leader also expressed confidence that LIFE for Relief and Development would continue its efforts beyond the Oti Region, with plans to extend similar support to other underprivileged children across the country.
Life for Relief and Development is committed to providing essential aid to those in need, regardless of race, religion, gender, or background.
The organization has consistently reached out to various communities, and over years made significant contributions to communities in Oti, Eastern and Greater Accra Regions, including donating medical equipment to the Madina Municipal Directorate of Health and educational materials to local schools.
Through these continuous efforts, LIFE remains dedicated to bringing hope to the most vulnerable and helping communities struggling with extreme poverty.
