Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament (MP) for Amenfi Central, has called for collaborative effort by government and gender activists to promote women leadership in policy making.

The MP made the call as a key panelist at the 2025 Women’s Dialogue, held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra.

The event, which commemorated International Women’s Day, brought together leaders, policymakers, and advocates to discuss the theme “Resetting the Agenda for Women: Accelerating Action on Women’s Rights, Equity, and Empowerment.”

Under the patronage of Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe shared her insights on empowering women to participate in governance and leadership.

Hon Joana Cudjoe proposed strategies such as reserved seats, leadership training, and financial support to encourage more women to take on governance roles.

The female emphasized the need for mentorship, networking, and access to resources to empower women leaders.

She stressed the importance of training programs and financial support to help women leaders grow and make a meaningful impact in their respective fields.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including diplomats, ambassadors, members of parliament, entrepreneurs, and CEOs. Notably, the Minister for Women and Children’s Affairs, Honourable Agnes Momo, and the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Honourable Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, were in attendance.

Hon. Gyan Cudjoe expressed her appreciation to the organizers and reaffirmed her commitment to continuing the conversation and collaborating with stakeholders to champion policies that support women’s empowerment and leadership.
