2025 Budget: A Hopeful Path for Ghanaians – Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Ntekuni
The Member of Parliament for Pru West, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi NtekunI, has praised President John Mahama for the strategic steps being taken to alleviate the challenges faced by Ghanaians.
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassel Ato Forson, presented the 2025 Budget to Parliament.
In reaction to the presentation, Hon. NtekunI described the budget as a “budget of hope,” which he believes will help reduce hardships and restore optimism among Ghanaians.
During an interview with ExpressNewsGhana, Hon. NtekunI shared his thoughts on the budget’s impact on his constituents and the country at large.
He stated, “This is a comprehensive budget that addresses all sectors of the economy. It reflects the voices of the people and their concerns, which have been carefully considered and incorporated into the proposed policies.”

The MP went on to commend the visionary leadership of President Mahama, highlighting that the government is swiftly acting on campaign promises to ease the suffering caused by previous economic hardships.
He noted, “In just a short period, a political party has delivered on its campaign promises, something that has rarely been seen before. This is the work of a forward-thinking leader like President Mahama, who understands the pain Ghanaians have endured over the last eight years.”
Among the key highlights of the budget, Hon. NtekunI emphasized as measures that will benefit the people of Ghana are the National Apprenticeship Program, which is designed to create job opportunities for the youth.
Other intervention policies are the cancellation of the E-Levy, betting tax, and COVID levy to ease the financial burden on Ghanaians.
He also identified the significant investment in the education sector, including the provision of textbooks and support for primary health care.
In his view, the commitment to addressing transportation needs, ensuring grants are allocated to improve mobility.
He expressed his satisfaction with the allocation for primary health care, stating that it would lead to meaningful improvements in the sector, stating, “Today is a moment of great joy for me.”
