The Al-Khair Foundation, a humanitarian organization based in Accra, has distributed food items to over 150 impoverished and vulnerable Muslim households within the Madina Municipality to support them during the 2025 Ramadan fast.

The recipients, from areas including Madina, Sakora P&T, Pantang, Abokobi, and Santoa, received essential food items such as rice, oil, sugar, spaghetti, milk, and tea leaves, as part of the Foundation’s annual ‘Ramadan Food Basket’ initiative.

The humanitarian effort aims to provide food relief to the most disadvantaged Muslim communities in Ghana. This initiative is in line with the Foundation’s broader mission to alleviate suffering worldwide, including in Ghana.

Mr. Mohamed Hashim Saeedi, National Coordinator of Al-Khair Foundation

Addressing the beneficiaries, Mr. Mohamed Hashim Saeedi, National Coordinator of Al-Khair Foundation in Ghana, acknowledged the ongoing global economic challenges, which have made it necessary to assist struggling families.

He emphasized that the Foundation, recognizing the hardships faced by many Ghanaian Muslim households, decided to extend its support during the holy month of Ramadan.

“The food items provided will help ease the financial burden for many Muslim families and reduce some of the concerns they face during this year’s fast,” Mr. Saeedi stated.

He also urged recipients to use the items for their intended purpose and refrain from selling them for monetary gain.

Mr. Saeedi further highlighted that Al-Khair Foundation’s humanitarian efforts extend beyond food aid and include support for health and other vital services, especially for those in remote areas of the country. He assured the public that the Foundation would continue to deliver such support to communities facing various challenges.

This initiative underscores the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of those in need and contributing to the well-being of communities across Ghana.
