The tour, the statement noted, forms part of the Committee’s broader mandate to promote quality and equitable healthcare for all Ghanaians. It will also allow Members of Parliament to directly engage with healthcare professionals, observe service delivery in real-time, and understand the operational constraints faced by these institutions.

“The objective is to ensure that the healthcare system is not only functional but responsive to the needs of citizens,” Damoah stated. “The Committee urges all stakeholders to actively engage with its teams and share insights that can contribute to sustainable improvements in Ghana’s health sector.”

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Health plays a critical oversight role in monitoring and evaluating health policies, programmes, and institutions, and is committed to ensuring that healthcare services remain accessible, efficient, and effective throughout the country.
