Mother’s Day: Frimpong-Manso Institute Pays Tribute to Mothers for Their Sacrifices and Impact on Society
The Frimpong-Manso Institute (FMI) has joined millions around the world in honouring mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day, applauding their unwavering sacrifices, resilience, and influential roles in shaping families and communities.
In a statement issued to mark the day, FMI described mothers as more than caregivers, highlighting their roles as teachers, protectors, leaders, and the foundational anchors of society.
“Mothers are often the first to believe in us and the last to give up on us,” the statement said. “Their hands hold stories of labour, comfort, creativity, and healing. Their strength, though often quiet, underpins the lives of individuals and the wellbeing of entire communities.”
The Institute emphasized that the love and influence of mothers transcend biological ties, extending to adoptive, foster, and maternal figures, all of whom deserve recognition for their devotion and impact.
“We acknowledge the duality of joy and challenge that motherhood brings, and honour the diverse paths women take in nurturing those around them,” the statement noted. “In a time when empathy, compassion, and unity are more crucial than ever, the role of a mother serves as a timeless reminder of the values that hold society together.”
FMI encouraged society to reflect on the lasting impact of maternal care and to celebrate the women whose strength and love shape the world.
“To every mother – and to those remembered in spirit – we see you, we thank you, and we celebrate you,” the statement concluded. “Happy Mother’s Day. God bless all mothers.”
