Rev Wengam Leads Central Region “A” Assemblies of God to Pray For Church and Nation
The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam has paid his third apostolic visit to Central Region A branch of the church.
The main event at the Winneba Central Assemblies of God brought together pastors and their spouses, retired ministers and spouses and widows of deceased pastors to pray for the church and the nation.
The General Superintendent led the three and half hours of prayer which covered areas like thanksgiving, intercession, spiritual warfare and praying in tongues.
In a brief exhortation, Rev Wengam admonished the church to prioritize prayer, thereby heeding the call of Jesus to make the temple of God a house of prayer (Matthew 21:12-17).
He led married couples to renew their marriage vows.
Special prayer was offered for church projects including acquisition of land for the construction of temples. Rev Wengam also prayed for participants who needed healing from various ailments.
The wife of the General Superintendent, Lady Mrs Monica Wengam , who doubles as the National President of the Ministers Wives Association , commended pastors and their spouses for their diligence and sacrifices in the discharge of their duties.

She presented a piece of cloth each and undisclosed amounts of money to retirees and their spouses, and widows of deceased ministers. Mrs Wengam also handed out a piece of cloth to every pastor’s wife and female pastor.
The Regional Superintendent, Rev Bismark Moore expressed appreciation to Rev Wengam and his wife for their unprecedented gesture.
