MP Commends Prestea Traditional Council for Continued Support toward Education Development
The Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni-Valley, Hon. Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, has lauded the Himan Prestea Traditional Council for its consistent support of his developmental efforts, particularly in the education sector.
The MP made these remarks during the climax of the 3rd edition of the Beyeman Basic School Quiz Competition, held under the auspices of the Himan Prestea Divisional Council, led by Nana Nteboah Prah IV and his elders.
Hon. Cudjoe expressed deep appreciation to the Traditional Council for spearheading the initiative for three consecutive years, noting its positive impact on basic education within the area.
He also called on all stakeholders to work together in strengthening the educational system for the benefit of the younger generation.
As part of his support for the competition, the MP made a donation valued at GHC 30,000. The items included 12 “C idea10” smart tablets awarded to the top three schools, 16 Casio calculators, and 16 Nataraj mathematical sets presented to all four finalist schools.
Additionally, Certificates of Participation were issued to all 15 participating schools and 60 students.
He congratulated Prestea Methodist Basic School for emerging as champions of this year’s edition and expressed optimism that subsequent editions of the competition would be expanded to include more schools across the constituency.
