The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam has been in Tamale on an apostolic visit to the North West administrative region of the church.

As usual, Rev Wengam led three and half hours of intercession, spiritual warfare and prayer of rededication.

He further preached a sermon titled, “How to Transform a Church into House of Prayer”. The General Superintendent proceeded to lead married couples to renew their vows.

A cross-section of the students of Assemblies of God Theological And Missions Seminary (Rev Thomas Floyd Canpus) in Tamale-  Kumbungu participated in the event.

Prayer was offered for local churches who need land to build temples and complete their church buildings.

The National President of the Ministers Wives Association, Lady Mrs Monica Wengam exhorted pastors and their spouses to renew their commitment to the call of ministry. She presented widows of deceased pastors and retired ministers and their spouses with pieces of cloth each and undisclosed amounts of cash. The wives of current pastors also received pieces of cloth each.

The Regional Superintendent, Rev Jonathan Abrahams lauded the first couple of the church for the apostolic visit initiative. The region presented gifts to Rev Wengam and wife.

A member of Sanctuary of Wind and Fire also handed over a portrait of the General Superintendent to him.
