The General Superintendent (President) of Benin Assemblies of God, Rev Ben Gousou Soujie has paid a courtesy call on the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam in Accra.

The purpose was to discuss preparations for the World Congress of World Assemblies of God Fellowship scheduled in Accra from 14th to 16th October 2026.

Rev Sonjie , who is also Chairman of West Africa Assemblies of God Alliance ( WAAGA) m, said  since the Congress is the first to be held in Africa, it is needful for the Alliance to support  Assemblies of God Ghana to host this historic event successfully.

The two leaders further discussed mission’s collaboration and the growth of the church in the sub-region.

The Benin delegation visited the proposed venues for the Congress.

Their General Superintendent was impressed with ongoing preparations and commended Rev Wengam and his team for their diligence and dedication to deliver a world-class event. Rev Sonjie also lauded Ghana Assemblies of God for being a beacon of hope for Africa Assemblies of God Alliance.
