Rev Wengam Ends Urges Genuine and Lasting Church Revival through Prayer
The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam and his wife, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam have paid an apostolic visit to the Greater Accra West Region of the church. It is twentieth this year.
The highlight of the latest apostolic visit was a meeting with more one thousand serving ministers and spouses, retired ministers and spouses as well as widows of deceased ministers at the Holy Hill Assemblies God Church at Adabraka in Accra.
Present was the President of the Ghanaian Assemblies of God Fellowship in the US, Rev Dr Andrew Anane Asane and wife.
Rev Wengam led a three-and- half hours of prayer, focusing on repentance and rededication, thanksgiving, spiritual warfare and intercession. Prayer was offered for local church projects and for spiritual renewal.

There were prophecies calling on the church to embrace the wind of revival and reforms blowing in the church.
The General Superintendent officiated renewal of wedding vows among married couples. Preaching a sermon titled, “How to Turn Your Local Church into a House of Prayer,” (Matthew 21:12-15), Rev Wengam challenged the ministers to promote prayer and engage their congregations in persistent prayer sessions. This, he said, will spark genuine and lasting revival.

Lady Mrs. Wengam who is the President of the Ministers Wives Association, presented gifts of cash and pieces of cloth to widows and wives of retirees. The retired ministers also received cash, while pastors’ wives were given pieces of cloth each.

The Regional Superintendent, Rev Michael Ayesu , said the annual apostolic visits have become a source of encouragement and motivation for the ministers and their spouses. He presented special gifts to the General Superintendent and his family.
