Director of Public Affairs of Parliament, Madam Kate Addo, has urged young entrepreneurs to strike a healthy balance between their primary jobs and side businesses, emphasizing that side hustles must complement rather than disrupt their core responsibilities.
Speaking at the 2025 edition of Side Hustle Connect, she encouraged participants to appreciate every milestone, regardless of size, noting that many great achievements often start from modest beginnings backed by consistency and hard work.
Madam Addo underscored honesty as “the most valuable currency in business,” and advised emerging entrepreneurs to remain transparent, resilient and compassionate toward themselves during setbacks.
According to her, failure should not deter anyone from pursuing their goals.
“It is better to try and fail than not to try at all,” she noted, urging participants to view challenges as lessons meant to strengthen their entrepreneurial journey.
