He has therefore advised them to desist from the practice or face the consequences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Avedzi said this when he reviewed documents presented to the Committee by the Water and Sanitation Board in the Ahafo Region on Thursday. Officials of the Water Resources Commission appeared before the Public Accounts Committee on Thursday to n, answer questions with regard to some audit infractions captured in the 2020 Auditor-General\u2019s report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the past two to three years, they\u2019ve not been able to provide satisfactory documents to the Auditor-General. But when they were appearing before the Committee, they came up with a receipt to cover the payments that were made. The Chairman of the Committee however put it to them that the receipts have been backdated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/FB_IMG_1675422839017.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/FB_IMG_1675422839017.jpg 720w, https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/FB_IMG_1675422839017-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/FB_IMG_1675422839017-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Dr James Avedzi<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials of the Commission who appeared before the Committee admitted to Mr. Avedzi\u2019s assertion. Replying to the admission, Mr Avedzi said, \u201cthat tells you how the system works.
