{"id":11014,"date":"2023-04-17T11:37:07","date_gmt":"2023-04-17T11:37:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/2023\/04\/17\/breaking-news-court-throws-out-case-against-madina-mp-over-bad-roads-demo\/"},"modified":"2023-04-17T11:37:07","modified_gmt":"2023-04-17T11:37:07","slug":"breaking-news-court-throws-out-case-against-madina-mp-over-bad-roads-demo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=11014","title":{"rendered":"Breaking News: Court throws out Case against Madina MP over Bad Roads Demo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Kaneshi District Voury on Monday April 17, 2023, dismissed criminal case against the Renowned Human rights lawyer who doubles as Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina, Hon Francis Xavier Sosu over the alleged breach of public order in the demontration for better roads in the constituency last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The acquired and discharged the MP of criminal charges brought against him over his role in the demonstration for better roads for his constituents in the Ayi \ud835\udc74\ud835\udc86\ud835\udc8f\ud835\udc94\ud835\udc82\ud835\udc89 -Danfa electoral areas on 25th October, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was discharge after the case which was commenced by a criminal summons filed on 2nd November 2021.<br \/>The Kaneshie District Court presided over by His Honour Oheneba Kuffour, threw out the case for want of prosecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/FB_IMG_1681728482528.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11013\" srcset=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/FB_IMG_1681728482528.jpg 720w, https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/FB_IMG_1681728482528-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/FB_IMG_1681728482528-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>Lawyer Sosu breifing Journalists in Coury<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He was charged on three counts of causing unlawful damage contrary to section 172(1)(b) of Act 29, obstruction of traffic contrary to section 9(f) of the Public Order Act and Causing Danger to road users contrary to section 22(a) of the Road Traffic Act, 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charges were vehemently denied by Hon.
