2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop is being organized by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in partnership with the House Democracy Partnership (HDP) &#8211; a bipartisan commission of href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100067670145176&amp;__cft__%5b0%5d=AZVLOAsCU8hfPI0AOLmnO-9hwZ_OCFUpJSCSc6J7emJ6_qCMNY0Lzntbt1P0BWpIlhv5AtvAJOo-AYDhYUJnlPIgBmtY6tYLyxKQiTNGdQwgX-9D91xoiMyWd20Utk0kAlRHNVcLdr3BP5D7j2HNHeKXgXFNhum9eHYaRe98LDF6udNa9n78eyy53bJ8XEIHS0s&amp;__tn__=-%5dK-R\">US House of Representatives<\/a> that works to connect U.S. members and staff with their international parliamentary counterparts on issues related to legislative strengthening and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the invitation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.facebook.com\/National.Democratic.Institute\/?__cft__%5b0%5d=AZVLOAsCU8hfPI0AOLmnO-9hwZ_OCFUpJSCSc6J7emJ6_qCMNY0Lzntbt1P0BWpIlhv5AtvAJOo-AYDhYUJnlPIgBmtY6tYLyxKQiTNGdQwgX-9D91xoiMyWd20Utk0kAlRHNVcLdr3BP5D7j2HNHeKXgXFNhum9eHYaRe98LDF6udNa9n78eyy53bJ8XEIHS0s&amp;__tn__=kK-R\">National Democratic Institute<\/a>, the Leader of PNAfrica &#8211; a Parliamentary Monitoring Organization based in Accra &#8211; Ghana, is participating and speaking at the Workshop which has brought together Members of Parliament from Ghana, The Gambia, Liberia, Zambia, Mozambique, and Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am privileged to be on two panels to discuss the topics \u201cTransparency and Participation in the National Budget Process\u201d and \u201cThe Importance of Openness and Transparency in Budget and Debt Management Processes,\u201d Said Mr. Sammy Obeng in a post on his Facebook page @Sammy Obeng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parliamentary Network Africa (PNAfrica) is a convener and connector of civil society parliamentary monitoring organizations and journalists towards promoting Open Parliaments across Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From humble beginnings as Parliament Focused newspaper, the PNAfrica has emerged as a reputable parliamentary monitoring civil society organization that has impacted parliamentary actors such as (CSOs, journalists, MPs, business associations etc.) from almost all countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, through partnered projects, pieces of training,
