{"id":11310,"date":"2023-05-22T15:00:50","date_gmt":"2023-05-22T15:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=11310"},"modified":"2023-05-22T15:00:50","modified_gmt":"2023-05-22T15:00:50","slug":"npps-imf-loan-most-wicked-and-painful-ablakwa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=11310","title":{"rendered":"NPP\u2019s IMF Loan Most Wicked and painful \u2013 Ablakwa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Member of Parliament for North Tongu has lamented that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government\u2019s negotiated International Monetary Fund (IMF) deal is the worse in the history of the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He slammed the government for what he described as very poor and wicked negotiations for the US$3 billion bailout.<\/p>\n<p>Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa was speaking as a panel member on Metro TV\u2019s \u2018Good Morning Ghana\u2019 political talk show last Friday.<\/p>\n<p>He described the finance minister and the team that negotiated the IMF deal as very wicked.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cThe program as agreed will bring more hardship on the ordinary Ghanaian and \u201cthis is going to be the most painful and most bitter IMF programme ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI ask myself who negotiated such a bad deal on behalf of the good people of Ghana.
