for Madina Secures Court  Bail for 22 Constituents in Kweiman Disturbance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina Hon Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu has intervened and  secured Court bail for 22 Constituents of the Kweiman Community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The  22 suspects were admitted to bail in the sum of Ghc10,000.00 with one surety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were being held on remand after they appeared before an Accra Circuit Court,  on 1st August, 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 22 suspects were variously charged with assault and destruction of property of some elders and the chief of Kweiman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/img-20230810-wa0035799253960526452451-1000x750.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12397\" Wednesday, 9th August, 2023 granted them bail upon prayers by the MP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The  case has however been referred to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) under section 73 of the Courts Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chiefs of Kweiman and families of the accused persons appreciated the effort of the MP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The MP was accompanied by the Former Ward Coordinator and the incoming Assembly man of Kweiman Hon Amadu Tahiru (Popularly known as NAT and Hon Charles Kotei, the Assembly man of Danfa Electoral Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Hon Sosu, his main reason for intervening in the matter is to ensure that peace prevails in Kweiman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\"
