The Chairman of the Health Committee in Parliament Dr Afriyie Ayew has called for depoliticizing discussion on Renal care and dialysis treatment in Ghana.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He also urged that the issue surrounding the La General Hospital be subjected to the reasons why the structure was pulled down for reconstruction rather than politicizing it.<\/p>\n

Dr Afriyie made call when he addresses members of the Parliamentary Press Corps after debating on the 2024 Budget statement and economic policym in parliwment.<\/p>\n

He argued that the cost and care of such facilities must not take a political discussion.<\/p>\n

According to him, politics would shift the focus in finding solutions to health care in the country.<\/p>\n

He stressed the need for people to take their personal health issues seriously rather than relying on government at all time.<\/p>\n

He explained that the cost of dialysis is so expensive and believed the Government won\u2019t be in a position to shoulder all the cost.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Dr Afriyie invited private participation in the fight in achieving better Renal care across the country.<\/p>\n
