The Upper East Regional Vetting Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has disqualified, Alex Amolbugre Avoka, a parliamentary candidate aspirant for Binduri Constituency.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Committee in a notification letter to the aspirant sighted by EXPRESSNEWSGHANA<\/em><\/strong> indicated that, Alex Avoka allegedly forged two delegate\u2019s signatures and thumps to endorse his nomination forms without their knowledge.<\/p>\n

As a result, the committee disqualified him with the liberty to appeal to the National Executive Committee if he so dissatisfied.<\/p>\n

Alex Avoka is contesting the parliamentary candidate primaries against the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Abdulai Abanga who is also a Deputy Minister of Works and Housing.<\/p>\n

Below is the Full Notice of the Disqualification <\/strong><\/p>\n

NOTICE OF DISQUALIFICATION TO<\/p>\n

CONTEST AS APC FOR BINDURI CONSTITUENCY<\/p>\n

We have been instructed by the National Parliamentary Vetting Committee (NPVC) in charge of the region to notify you of your disqualification as APC to contest the Parliamentary Primaries scheduled to take place on Saturday, the 27th January 2024 at the Binduri Constituency.<\/p>\n

The Committee’s decision to recommend to the National Executive Council (NEC) for your disqualification is necessitated from the following acts which were proven against you when you appeared for vetting before the Committee on Wednesday, 3rd January 2024:<\/p>\n

(a) Forgery of signatures and\/or thumbprint on your nomination of Clement Afugu and Adamu Mamata which acts are criminal offence:<\/p>\n

(b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reduction of date of birth in order to benefit filing fees granted to under 40 years APC and<\/p>\n

(c)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Claiming to have Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resources) from the Christian Service University College, Kumasi when you did not even attend school there.<\/p>\n

You are at liberty to appeal against the recommendation of the NPVC of the region to the Appeals Committee as provided for by the rules, regulations and guidelines for the election.<\/p>\n
