As part of an effort to reduce unemployment\u00a0 among the youth in the Constituency, the Madina Job Center, has enrolled 250 youth of Otinibi Community in skill train program.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Centre which was established by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina, Francis Sosu prior to election in 2020 has trained several youth in various skills for self employment.<\/p>\n

So far, the Centre has trained over 6,000 individuals with access to decent jobs and skills for economic growth, an effort to reduce abject poverty online with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), goal #1 and 8.<\/p>\n

Some of the youth empowerment programs implemented since it’s establishment include Women in Mushroom farming, Youth in Computer hardware Engineering, Youth in Fashion Design, Youth in Graphic Design, Web and Mobile App Development, Youth in Diary Production, Youth in Rabbit and Poultry Production and Youth in Driving, among others.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

At least, 250 individuals were impacted in rural Madina Community, Otinibi through a Master Class in Liquid Soap Production.<\/p>\n

The soap making program was partnership with KEM Enterprise, a private enterprise.<\/p>\n

The beneficiary youth were drawn from Otinibi, Danfa, Adoteiman and other communities within the Eastern zone of Madina Constituency.<\/p>\n

The training program were empowered with sustainable skills for prospective business startup.<\/p>\n

Participants were empowered with startup kits containing production ingredients and tools.<\/p>\n

The Madina Job Center was set up my the Incumbent with the sole aim of empowering individual youth to be financially independent.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Press at the Otinibi training section, Hon Sosu said \u201cIt is my dream that all forms of poverty will be eradicated and we can only achieve this by empowering our people with adequate skills to be able to fend for themselves, support their families and be productive members of society\u201d.<\/p>\n

He commended the Traditional leaders, opinion leaders and all stakeholders, for their immense support and participation in implementing of the training program.<\/p>\n

The Chief of Otinibi, Nii Adjei Kwei Dzamansah IV, who was full of joy over the program in the community lauded the MP for the effort.<\/p>\n

He encouraged all beneficiaries to practice what has been taught sustainably.<\/p>\n

The CEO of Madina Job Center, Priscilla Naa Aklerh Plange, expressed her joy in working with stakeholders in the community for the empowerment program<\/p>\n

She said \u201c We are grateful for the massive patronage of this program and I advise all youth to be focused on empowering themselves by taking advantage of such sponsored skill development opportunities\u201d.<\/p>\n

She assured the youth that aside its daily recruitment roles, and ongoing apprenticeship training, the Job Center in the coming weeks will be empowering more communities within the Madina Constituency with Master Classes in basic and in-demand vocational skills and encouraged the youth to patronize.<\/p>\n
