{"id":14589,"date":"2024-01-24T09:09:17","date_gmt":"2024-01-24T09:09:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=14589"},"modified":"2024-01-24T09:09:17","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T09:09:17","slug":"council-of-zongo-chiefs-seeks-allah-face-for-bawumia-napo-ticket","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=14589","title":{"rendered":"Council of Zongo Chiefs seeks Allah Face for Bawumia\/Napo Ticket"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The New Patriotic Party\u2019s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Energy Minister, and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice President, are expected to take office on January 7, 2025, the Council of Zongo Chiefs of Ghana have said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The zongo chiefs prayed for Dr. Bawumia to choose Energy Minister and MP for Manhyia South as his running mate for the upcoming elections during a special Quran recitation and prayers to Allah on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Kantudu behind the Kumasi Central Mosque held after Magrib prayers.<\/p>\n<p>The chiefs said that Dr. Prempeh was Dr. Bawumia\u2019s ideal partner for moving Ghana forward starting in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>After the Quran was recited, Chief of Frafra and President of the Council of Zongo Chiefs, Alhaji Musah, spoke on behalf of the prayer group, saying that they were praying for Drs. Bawumia and Prempeh because they had the spiritual capacity to take Ghana to the next level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is our wish that Dr. Bawumia will be sworn-in as President come 7th January, 2025 with Dr. NAPO as his Vice President.
