{"id":15336,"date":"2024-03-28T14:37:28","date_gmt":"2024-03-28T14:37:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=15336"},"modified":"2024-03-28T14:37:28","modified_gmt":"2024-03-28T14:37:28","slug":"can-you-also-throw-out-richard-skys-case-sam-george","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=15336","title":{"rendered":"Can you also Throw Out Richard Sky\u2019s case? \u2013 Sam George"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, has expressed his shock at the sequence of priorities set by the Supreme Court regarding legal cases.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sam George expressed his surprise specifically at the decision by the Supreme Court to address the case of South Dayi MP, Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor, ahead of that of private legal practitioner, Richard Dela Sky.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Dela Sky filed an application on March 5 with the Supreme Court, seeking a declaration that the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, commonly known as the anti-gay bill, is null, void, and of no effect.<\/p>\n<p>The Ningo Prampram MP contends that the court\u2019s order of proceedings would have been more equitable had it first heard the case about the anti-gay bill before turning to the matter involving the South Dayi MP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is surprising to me is that the Chief Justice has not called the Richard Sky case, which is almost four weeks old, before the court to hear that, but has called the case that was less than a week old.
