Ahead of 2024 general elections, the majority caucus in parliament have called on electorates not to fall for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, for they have nothing new to offer Ghanaians.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Majority Leader, Alexander Kwabena Afenyo-Markin made the assertion at a press conference in parliament on Friday, April 19, 2024.<\/p>\n

According to him, the opposition NDC, its Flagbearer and his running mate Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang have nothing to show to Ghanaians to win the 2024 general elections and only engaged in propaganda.<\/p>\n

He said it was important for Ghanaians to pitch their tent with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to continue with its good policies to transform the country.<\/p>\n

Majority caucus in parliament<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Mr. Afenyo-Markin\u00a0 whois MP for Effutu said, \u201cWe have the NDC candidate who has had the opportunity to serve as vice president and president. He\u2019s been vice president for three and a half years before and he\u2019s been president for some four and half years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know his track record. He is the same person with the same old team coming to tell us that they have something to offer, but we know their track record.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Majority leader noted that in the unlikely event that Mahama is elected, \u201che has only one term, and there will be no sense of urgency. And we dare say that from day one that government will be in crisis because those party people will be struggling for who should be the next leader. Ghanaians need a stable government with focus\u2026 Dr Bawumia offers a better future than John Mahama.\u201d<\/p>\n

He further berated the running mate of the NDC, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, pointing out that, she has not been able to embark on a single infrastructure project in the Central Region warranting their votes in the upcoming December polls.<\/p>\n

In his considered view, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia offered a better future than President John Mahama, who has been vice and President before.<\/p>\n
