In an effort to boost its presence at the local level, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) has launched its first ever Regional Brand Index (RBI) Coffee Table Publication and the 35th Annual National Marketing Performance Awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs. Nana Ama Poku, Deputy Managing Director of Corporate Resources at CBG, served as the Chairperson for the evening.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the launching ceremony in Accra, Dr. Kasser Tee, National President of Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), said the Annual National Marketing Performance Awards of CIMG is the longest-standing and most credible awards in Ghana and is posed to celebrate its 35th edition in the coming months.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cWe organise these awards annually to create awareness about the relevance of marketing for running successful businesses, promote higher standards for marketing performance and champion the interests of consumers.<\/p>\n

Dr. Tee however commended the various sponsors, donors, and past awardees who have supported the CIMG awards over the years.<\/p>\n

He noted that the success story of the CIMG awards could not be acknowledged without mentioning the donors, the support received in diverse ways from sponsors, the pride with which awardees receive and cherish our awards and the solid commitment of the team of assessors.<\/p>\n

The CIMG President further highlighted the significance of its ground-breaking project, which he added aimed\u00a0 \u00a0to leverage research to promote regional brands within Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Coffee Table Publication we launch today encapsulates the rich diversity, vibrancy, and potentials of each of the 16 regional brands in Ghana,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

Dr. Tee urged regional leaders to strategically communicate and promote their regions\u2019 unique attributes to create and nurture strong brand identities.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is imperative for each region to embark on a journey of deliberate and strategic communications to champion and promote their virtues as they strive to build a resilient brand identity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In a speech read on his behalf, the Minister for Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture, Andrew Egyapa Mercer, commended CIMG for the benefits of the maiden Regional Brand Index report, pointing out its serious role in shaping policy decisions, tourism product development and attracting potential investors.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the importance of this report in providing detailed insights that will aid policy makers in understanding each region\u2019s strengths and areas for improvement.<\/p>\n

\u201cA data-driven approach in policy making and intervention will significantly aid the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and other governmental bodies, in formulating policies that are tailored to the specific needs and potentials of each region,\u201d the Minister stated.<\/p>\n

The Minister also noted that the insights from the index will facilitate the creation of more effective marketing campaigns that highlight the distinct attractions of each region.<\/p>\n

He added, the Regional Brand Index will serve as an invaluable resource for investors, providing a clear picture of the investment landscape across Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe launch of the Regional Brand Index Report is a significant milestone in our journey towards achieving a well-balanced and prosperous Ghana,\u201d the Minister remarked.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt underscores our commitment to recognizing and harnessing the unique potentials of each region, fostering inclusive growth, and promoting our rich cultural heritage and tourism.\u201d<\/p>\n

The CIMG Vice President and Chairman for the Award Planning and Selecting Committee,\u00a0 \u00a0Mr. Theodore Osae, reassured the attendees of the Institute\u2019s commitment to upholding high standards and credibility in the awards process.<\/p>\n

The second part of the evening focused on the unveiling of the 2023 Ghana Regional Brand Index (GH-RBI) publication.<\/p>\n
