Electrochem Ghana Limited’s operations have been severely disrupted following another invasion of its Sector A concession, resulting in substantial losses and heightened tensions with nearby communities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Nene Odeopeor Siada, Operations Manager of Electrochem Ghana Limited, the company has been facing repeated attacks on its concession, undermining its efforts to serve Ghana and the surrounding communities.<\/p>\n

The latest incident, which occurred last Thursday morning, saw approximately 350 individuals from nearby communities invade the company’s warehouse and workers’ residential facilities, causing extensive damage and losses.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

The attackers, believed to be from nearby communities, claimed that their government was in power and they were taking over the Electrochem concession.<\/p>\n

They allegedly stated, “Our party has come into power,” indicating a political dimension to the attack.<\/p>\n

The invaders made off with various equipment and items, including water pumps, car tires, bulldozer water tanks, and five jungle motorbikes.<\/p>\n

The company’s residential quarters were also ransacked, with fridges, cooking utensils, gas cylinders, and mattresses stolen.<\/p>\n

The Ada Divisional Police Commander, ACP Joseph Atsu Dzineku, has appealed to community members to address their grievances with Electrochem through peaceful and lawful means.<\/p>\n

He urged those who took away company properties to return them, emphasizing that keeping stolen items is a crime under Ghanaian law.<\/p>\n

The repeated attacks on Electrochem’s concession have resulted in significant operational costs and disruptions to the company’s operations.<\/p>\n

The company is calling for a peaceful resolution to the issue and urging the perpetrators to return the stolen items.<\/p>\n
