A delegation from Assemblies of God, Ghana, led by the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam has paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s first female Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang in Accra.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The visit aimed to congratulate her on the historic election victory, offer prayers, and share insights about the activities and future plans of Assemblies of God,Ghana.
\nCelebrating women\u2019s achievement
\nSpeaking during the visit, Rev. Wengam applauded the Vice President for breaking barriers and inspiring women and girls across the nation.
\n\u201cYou have made women and girls proud, and you continue to inspire them. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we trust that you and the President will be led by God in all your decisions,\u201d he stated.
\nRev. Wengam shared a brief background of Assemblies of God,Ghana which is currently 94 years old and preparing to celebrate its centenary in 2026.<\/p>\n

\nHe explained that the church has made significant impact by on lives of the people by hospitals in Nakpanduri in 1950 as well as in Saboba. The church he said also operates over 250 schools nationwide.
\nMembership and Leadership: Reverend Wengam stated that the church boasts of over 800,000 members and 4,200 pastors in Ghana adding that its membership and leadership achievements were significant.
\nTouching on what he described as compassionate ministry he emphasised the church’s focus on social intervention projects, stating, \u201cWe believe we don\u2019t only preach the gospel but must also show compassion, as Jesus did, to make the gospel complete.\u201d
\nOn the Centenary Celebration, Rev. Wengam revealed plans for the Assemblies of God centenary celebration in 2026, an event that will bring the global Assemblies of God family to Ghana.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cWith the Assemblies of God present in nearly 195 countries, this will be a blessing not just to us but to the entire nation,\u201d he observed.
\nVice President\u2019s response
\nProf. Naana Opoku-Agyemang expressed her gratitude to the Assemblies of God leadership for their visit and prayers. She encouraged young women and girls to aim higher and trust in the leading of God as they pursue their goals.
\n\u201cLook past me and aim even higher as you listen to the Lord’s guidance,\u201d she advised.
\nThe Vice President also requested continued prayers for her, the President, and the nation, emphasising the need for unity, restoration, and care for one another.<\/p>\n

Prayers, souvenirs
\nThe visit concluded with special prayers for the Vice President, the Presidency, and the nation. The Assemblies of God delegation also presented souvenirs to the Vice President as a token of appreciation for her leadership and inspiration.<\/p>\n

This meeting highlighted the shared vision of the Assemblies of God,Ghana and the nation\u2019s leadership to promote compassion, unity, and progress.<\/p>\n
