Minister of State-designate for Public Sector Reforms, Lydia Akanvariba, has pledged to strengthen digital platforms in Ghana’s public sector, building on the foundations laid by the previous administration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking during her vetting by the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Monday, February 24, Akanvariba emphasized the importance of digitalization in promoting accountability and transforming public sector operations.<\/p>\n

Key initiatives she plans to enhance include:P latform*: Improving the central digital services platform for better accessibility and efficiency.<\/p>\n

Ghana Revenue Authority payment system*: Streamlining tax collection processes to reduce bureaucratic delays.<\/p>\n

Paperless Port system: Enhancing trade facilitation and reducing corruption through digitalization.<\/p>\n

Akanvariba also highlighted the need to address infrastructure gaps, citing the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice as an example, where some offices lack adequate computers for efficient operations \u00b9.<\/p>\n
