Hon. Joseph Kumah, Member of Parliament for \u00a0\u00a0Kintampo North constituency, has praised President John Mahama for his straightforward and practical approach in fulfilling his promises to the people of Ghana. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Reflecting on the President’s recent state of the nation address, Hon. Kumah expressed his satisfaction, noting that this is the fifth time he has had the privilege of witnessing such an event.<\/p>\n

In an interview with ExpressNewsGhana,<\/em><\/strong> Hon. Kumah described the address as “excellent, splendid, and straight to the point,” emphasizing that President Mahama has remained consistent with his manifesto.<\/p>\n

“Every sector was addressed, and the plans he has for the nation are clearly laid out,” he remarked. “Unlike others who might deceive you with their manifesto and later present different plans in their state of the nation address, President Mahama\u2019s message aligns perfectly with his manifesto.”<\/p>\n

Hon. Kumah expressed confidence in the President\u2019s ability to deliver, citing the practical implementation of promises, particularly in the education sector.<\/p>\n

He commended the President for addressing the critical issue of teacher accommodation. “By ensuring teachers are housed within the communities where they teach, President Mahama is solving a long-standing problem. Teachers will serve as role models for students and parents, and this will undoubtedly improve the quality of education in the country,” he said.<\/p>\n

The MP also praised the President\u2019s promise of a 20% salary allowance to encourage teachers to take up positions in rural areas. “This is fantastic,” he added. “It\u2019s exactly what teachers need to be motivated to work in rural communities, ensuring that education reaches every corner of the country.”<\/p>\n

Hon. Kumah pointed out the importance of teacher permanence in schools, explaining that the success of private schools stems from the consistent presence of teachers. “Private schools outperform public schools because of the continuity and permanence of their teachers. If we apply the same principle to public schools, where teachers stay in the communities, the results will be phenomenal,” he said.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted the President’s commitment to resolving the challenges associated with the double-track system in senior high schools. “The Green Senior High and other schools currently using the double-track system will benefit from the President\u2019s plans,” he noted. He specifically mentioned the Jema \u00a0Kentampo South constituency, where the completion of an e-block is a priority.<\/p>\n

“The e-block in Kentampo Senior High and Gamer Senior High has only been partially completed under the previous administration, but President Mahama is committed to finishing these projects, ensuring that our students no longer have to deal with double-track systems,” he said.<\/p>\n

Hon. Kumah also acknowledged the impact of experience in leadership, referring to the President\u2019s solid track record. “Experience is key, and President Mahama has demonstrated that with his vision and practical approach, he will continue to improve Ghana’s education system,” he concluded.<\/p>\n
