The Ghana Police Service has apprehended 44 Cameroonian nationals, including a 29-year-old suspect named Bella Merie, in connection with a suspected internet fraud and human trafficking operation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The arrest was made at a residence in Kenyasi Abrem, Ashanti Region, on Monday, April 7, 2025.<\/p>\n

Details of the Arrest<\/strong>
\nPreliminary investigations revealed that Bella Merie collected 4,500,000 CFA francs from 43 victims, comprising 32 males and 11 females, under the guise of providing employment opportunities in Ghana. The operation was allegedly orchestrated through the QNET online scam model.<\/p>\n

Investigation and Repatriation<\/strong>
\nThe individuals involved, aged between 22 and 38, have been handed over to the Ghana Immigration Service for repatriation to Cameroon. The police are committed to combating fraudulent activities and safeguarding the rights and welfare of both Ghanaian citizens and foreign nationals.<\/p>\n

About QNET Scams<\/strong>
\nQNET has been associated with pyramid scheme scams, with several cases of individuals losing significant amounts of money.<\/p>\n

In one instance, a former member who lost 13 lakhs rupees in the QNET scheme was arrested for running a money circulation scheme.<\/p>\n
