The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North Constituency, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni, has extended heartfelt encouragement to candidates sitting for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), urging them to remain focused, confident, and disciplined as they write their final papers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During a constituency-wide tour of examination centres and schools, the MP donated over 2,000 mathematical sets to support students preparing for the exams.<\/p>\n

The distribution exercise covered all participating schools, both public and private\u2014within the Okaikwei North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.<\/p>\n

A total of 1,850 BECE candidates in the constituency benefited from the donation, which is part of Hon. Awuni\u2019s annual educational support programme aimed at motivating and empowering young learners.<\/p>\n

The remaining sets were distributed to teachers and extra candidates from adjoining areas to ensure adequate coverage.<\/p>\n

Addressing the candidates, Hon. Theresa Awuni encouraged them to believe in their potential and embrace their dreams with determination. \u201cGet ready for a bright future,\u201d she said. \u201cWith discipline and diligence, there is no limit to what you can achieve. This exam is only the beginning of your journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

She stressed the importance of equity in education, emphasizing that no child should feel disadvantaged due to lack of access to basic learning tools.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cAs your representative in Parliament, I remain committed to supporting education and ensuring that all children in this constituency have the resources they need to succeed,\u201d she added.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Teachers, school authorities, and parents expressed their appreciation for the MP\u2019s consistent commitment to education, describing her intervention as timely and impactful.<\/p>\n

Nationwide, more than 571,000 candidates are writing this year\u2019s BECE, including candidates from both public and private basic schools across Ghana.<\/p>\n

The examination is being conducted under strict supervision by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and is expected to run until Saturday, June 21, 2025.<\/p>\n

Hon. Awuni\u2019s support comes as part of a broader national effort by various Members of Parliament and stakeholders to boost morale and ensure candidates are adequately prepared for the exams that will determine their progression to senior high school.<\/p>\n
