Assemblyman for Alajo North Electoral Area in the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly, Hon Ibrahim Halidu has charged the 2021 candidates of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) not to disappoint their parent\u2019s effort and ensure they come out with flying colours.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the effort of their parents during their year schooling at the Junior High School, should not be wasted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon Halidu gave the advice during a closing ceremony of two months of free extra classes he organized for the final year students within the Electoral Area, on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Alajo, Accra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the two months of free extra classes was in line with my commitment to his vision to deepen academic excellence in the Alajo North Electoral Area and its environs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over fifty (50) students who enrolled in the free extra classes were taught Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Assemblyman also commended stakeholders in the area who in diverse ways supported his effort to provide free extra classes for the children and hope the collaboration would continue to benefit others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs the curtains have been drawn on the programme today, permit me to use this opportunity to show my profound gratitude to the owners of Darlour Blessed School and God\u2019s Love School who most generously allowed us to use their facilities for this all important exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am equally grateful to all the teachers who volunteered their time, energy and intellect to see to it that this initiative was successfully executed. I am hopeful that all these students have been adequately educated over the period and placed in a position of strength to be able to pass their exams with distinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I also want to thank everyone who supported us. My team and I are extremely grateful,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He, however, charged the children to go into the exams with distinction so they could further to the Senior High Schools and then to the university level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Halidu also urged the candidates to avoid any form of anti-social behaviours, especially examination malpractices that could lead to the cancellation of their papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the candidates expressed gratitude to the Assemblyman for the opportunity given them to have two months extra classes free, which could cost them and their parents huge sums of money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They promised to do their best to pass their exams to encourage the assemblyman to extend the same to the future candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
