The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam has ended an apostolic visit to Brong Ahafo Region B of the church.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The spirit-filled event at Full Gospel Assemblies of God at Techiman brought together 170 serving ministers and spouses, retired ministers and spouses, as well as widows of deceased ministers.<\/p>\n

The General Superintendent led a -three- and half -hour prayer session focusing on thanksgiving, repentance, spiritual warfare and intercession.<\/p>\n

Special prayer was offered for local church projects, and pastors serving in deprived areas.<\/p>\n

Rev Wengam led ministers and their spouses to renew their wedding vows.<\/p>\n

Preaching on, \u201cHow to Turn Your Local Church into a House of Prayer,\u201d he challenged ministers to promote prayer, and engage their congregations in persistent prayer sessions. Using strategies of his local church, Cedar Mountain Chapel at East Legon in Accra\u00a0\u00a0 as an illustration, Rev Wengam said prayer must be a daily necessity and constant activity in every church.<\/p>\n

The Regional Superintendent, Rev Moses Kwame Nasimong touched on the natural and cultural riches of the region, the statistics of the Church and ongoing projects. The region has 94 Ministers, 200 churches and about 13,860 members.<\/p>\n

Rev Nasimong said the annual apostolic visits have become a season of encouragement, empowerment and renewal for ministers and their spouses, and these should be sustained.<\/p>\n

The National President of the Ministers Wives Association, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam presented cash gifts and pieces of cloth to widows and wives of retirees. Retired ministers also received cash gifts, and each pastor\u2019s wife, a piece of cloth.<\/p>\n
