However, the Authority noted that based on its current assessment, the transaction that created the alleged debt did not receive the necessary regulatory and governance approvals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe GRA\u2019s commitment to transparency, compliance, and proper governance protocols does not allow us to enforce transactions that fall outside regulatory requirements, especially within the framework of the Government\u2019s renewed vision,\u201d the statement emphasized.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_21641\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21641\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21641\" src=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Anthony-Kwasi-Sarpong-1_700x500-700x470-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"470\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-21641\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Anthony Kwesi Sampong, GRA Boss<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The GRA further pointed out that the NIA has been operating registration desks at GRA offices across the country for several years, issuing Ghana Cards to individuals without paying rent or utility charges for the use of the premises.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the current misunderstanding, the GRA acknowledged the need for strong inter-agency cooperation, especially in integrating the Ghana Card into the national tax system.
