{"id":22810,"date":"2025-11-15T14:50:33","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T14:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=22810"},"modified":"2025-11-15T14:50:33","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T14:50:33","slug":"gra-gets-new-acting-director-of-domestic-revenue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=22810","title":{"rendered":"GRA Gets New Acting Director of Domestic Revenue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Martin Kolbil Yamborigya as the Acting Commissioner of the Domestic Tax Revenue Division (DTRD) of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), effective Monday, 17th November 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Yamborigya succeeds Mr. Edward Apenteng Gyambrah, who has retired from the position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Proven Track Record<\/strong><br \/>\nDr. Yamborigya is a distinguished Tax Administrator and Public Finance Expert with over two decades of experience in Ghana&#8217;s Revenue Administration. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership in key areas such as Domestic Tax Policy, Compliance Management, and Revenue Mobilization, contributing significantly to the transformation and modernization of the GRA.<\/p>\n<p>Before his current appointment, Dr. Yamborigya held several senior management positions within the GRA, including: Audit Team Leader for the Tax Audit Unit, Head of Audit at the Legon Medium Taxpayer Office, Head of Post Clearance Audit, DTRD, Head of Audit for Special Audits (Audit Factory).<\/p>\n<p>He was also the Acting Assistant Commissioner at the Commissioner DTRD&#8217;s Secretariat and Assistant Commissioner and Head of Tax Audit at the Large Taxpayer Office (LTO)<\/p>\n<p><strong>A New Era for GRA<\/strong><br \/>\nThe appointment of Dr. Yamborigya is expected to bring renewed energy to the GRA, driving efforts to enhance tax compliance, utilize digital solutions, and strengthen collaboration with stakeholders to boost Ghana&#8217;s domestic revenue mobilization.
