The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has called on African women leaders to aspire to greater heights and serve their nations with renewed dedication to improving the lives of their people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She made the call when she opened the first Africa Women Leaders Conference of the Women\u2019s Commission of the Africa Assemblies of God Alliance at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region.<\/p>\n

The conference brought together the wives of seven General Superintendents of the Assemblies of God and women leaders from 20 African countries, including Ghana, to deliberate on advancing the church’s mission and contributing meaningfully to society.<\/p>\n

Dr. Naa Momo, a member of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, commended Christian women for their selfless service to Christ and their ongoing efforts to promote community well-being. She encouraged them to do even more to positively shape both present and future generations.<\/p>\n

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, and Vice Chairman of the Africa Assemblies of God Alliance, Rev. Stephen Wengam, urged the women leaders to prioritize soul-winning and champion aggressive church planting.<\/p>\n

These efforts, he said, would support the MM33 agenda of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, which aims to plant one million churches by 2033 to mark 2,000 years since the ascension of Jesus Christ. He further encouraged the women to adopt creative strategies to win souls for Christ.<\/p>\n

The President of the Women\u2019s Commission of the Africa Assemblies of God Alliance, Pastor Faraja Songela of Tanzania, highlighted the Commission\u2019s goal of mobilizing women across the continent for missions, discipleship, and networking while equipping them to contribute to the growth of Africa and the Kingdom of God.<\/p>\n

She also announced the provision of scholarships for women pursuing theological education.<\/p>\n

The Chairperson of the Local Organising Committee and Vice President of the Women\u2019s Commission, Rev. Mrs. Gladys Abu Baba, assured participants of the warmest Ghanaian hospitality.<\/p>\n

In a gesture of appreciation, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, wife of the General Superintendent and National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association of Assemblies of God, Ghana, presented each foreign delegate with a piece of cloth as a gift from herself and her husband.<\/p>\n
