In a major boost to local infrastructure, the Member of Parliament for Talensi, Hon. Daniel Dung Mahama, has donated a substantial cache of medical equipment and essential supplies to the Talensi District Hospital and the Ghana Fire Service.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u200bThe donation, valued at over GHS 300,000, underscores the MP\u2019s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life and emergency response capabilities within the constituency.<\/p>\n

\u200bA Lifeline for Healthcare
\n\u200bThe medical contribution comprised a wide array of critical equipment designed to modernize local health centers and improve patient outcomes.<\/p>\n

The consignment included high-priority items such as an oxygen concentrator, oxygen cylinders, electric beds, standard hospital beds, mattresses, and specialized delivery beds.<\/p>\n

To support daily operations, the MP also provided wheelchairs, umbilical vessel catheter trays, thermometer probe covers, sterile examination gloves, iodine solutions, hand gels, and five boxes of assorted medical consumables.<\/p>\n

\u200bIn an emotional address, Hon. Mahama revealed that the donation of the oxygen concentrator was deeply personal, inspired by his late mother\u2019s battle for life in Accra.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the device, which can be recharged with electricity, ensures a constant supply of life-saving oxygen even when traditional gas refills are unavailable.<\/p>\n

His primary goal in procuring this specific technology is to ensure that no constituent is forced to travel outside the district to access basic oxygen services during an emergency.<\/p>\n

\n\u200bThe items were officially received by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. John Millim Nabwomya, and the District Health Director, both of whom praised the MP for addressing the “critical challenges” facing frontline healthcare workers.
\n\u200bSupport for Fire Service Personnel
\n\u200bFollowing the hospital visit, Hon. Mahama\u2014accompanied by the DCE and District Education Director, Madam Christiana Ayinzoya\u2014moved to the Talensi District Fire Service Station.\u200b<\/p>\n

Responding to an earlier plea from the station, the MP donated 16 mattresses and a 55-inch plasma television to improve the living and working conditions of the personnel on duty.uu\u00fa<\/p>\n

Acknowledging the broader “teething challenges” the service faces, he pledged to lobby the central government and stakeholders for further resource allocation to ensure the safety of the people of Talensi.\u200b<\/p>\n

\u200bThe day\u2019s activities saw strong backing from local leaders and the NDC Constituency Executives, including Communication Officer Mr. Michael Nangena, NADMO Coordinator Mr. Bismark Asugre Farouq, Deputy Youth Organizer Mr. Prince Tindana, and Executive Member Mr. Sylvester Bosuh.
