As the Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori Atta prepared to present the government annual Budget statement and economic policy tomorrow, Wednesday, November 17, 2021, the Member of Parliament for Chiana\/Paga, Hon Thomas Adda Dalu has charged the government to present a clean sheet budget, devoid of debts and dec<\/strong>eption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the current government since assuming office in 2017, has consistently launched lofty programmes and policies, which in his view never materialized to the good people of Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, budgets upon Budgets appeared to have more debts coupled with deceptive policies than the reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon Thomas Dalu made these comments in an interview with EXPRESSNEWSGHANA<\/em> , in anticipation of the 2022 budget to be presented to parliament by the Minister of Finance on Wednesday.November 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, he do not expect anything beneficial to Ghanaians from the 2022 budget rather than debts and deceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MP questioned why all the government lofty policies that have been championed over the years have all gone dead after 2020 general elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He mentioned that the government policies like One million per constituency for each year, one District one factory and One Village one Dam have all collapsed in the matter of within four years, stressing that,” these are all evidence of deception in order to win political power.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further questioned the practicality of the Planting for Food and Jobs when prices of food have shoot up, farmers not getting fertilizers and late reopening of second cycles institutions due to lack of feeding grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The worse of all, Hon Dalu said, despite the cries of hardship, President Akufo Addo and his Ministers still master the courage to squander state resources to live a luxurious and lavish lifestyles while imposing taxes on Ghanaians, who could not even afford a square meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2022 budget, in his considered view would be another packed of lies and propaganda to deceive Ghanaians, nothing, ” we the Minority will resist any form.of tax increment that would further worsen the plight of ordinary Ghanaians.
He said, the year has come to an end but the MPs shared of the Common Funds have not been paid for even a quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


In terms of development, Hon Dalu said so many roads in his constituency remained uncompleted after change of government. Some of the abandoned roads he said includes Kandiga-Sirigu, Chuchuliga to Chiana, Kayoro, among other, pressing issues that needed the I<\/p>\n\n\n\n
