The Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service Ghana, Dr. George Owusu, has praised officers in the Upper East Region for their dedication, professionalism, and resilience despite challenges confronting emergency healthcare delivery in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During a working visit to the region, Dr. Owusu, accompanied by a delegation from Accra, engaged personnel of the service and commended them for their unwavering commitment to duty in the face of limited staff strength and inadequate ambulance vehicles.<\/p>\n

Addressing the officers, Dr. Owusu acknowledged the operational difficulties confronting some stations, revealing that a number of facilities currently operate with only six to seven personnel, a situation he described as a major challenge to effective emergency healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome stations operate with only six to seven staff members, making it difficult to deliver effective healthcare services,\u201d he stated<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He assured the officers that efforts are underway to secure financial clearance for the recruitment of additional personnel to strengthen the workforce and improve service delivery nationwide.<\/p>\n

Dr. Owusu also disclosed that the government has plans to introduce additional ambulances in the long term to augment the existing fleet and improve emergency response operations across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese measures aim to improve emergency healthcare delivery and response across the country,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

According to him, the purpose of the visit was to interact with the regional team, motivate them, and express appreciation for their hard work and sacrifices in serving the nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cMyself and my team from Accra are here briefly to visit you, to engage you, to interact with you, to motivate you and to commend you for the good work you are doing for Mother Ghana,\u201d Dr. Owusu said.<\/p>\n

He further assured personnel that the leadership of the Ambulance Service in Accra remains fully committed to supporting them in the discharge of their duties and creating opportunities for their professional growth and advancement within the service.<\/p>\n

The visit served as a morale booster for officers in the region and reaffirmed the Ambulance Service Ghana\u2019s commitment to strengthening emergency healthcare systems and supporting frontline personnel across the country.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the regional team, Upper East Regional Deputy Chief Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, Azudana Azuda, expressed gratitude to the CEO and his delegation for the visit and encouragement.<\/p>\n

He assured the leadership that officers in the region would continue to work diligently and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in delivering lifesaving services to the public.<\/p>\n

As part of the visit, a ceremonial parade inspection was organised in honour of Dr. Owusu.<\/p>\n

The display highlighted the discipline, preparedness, and professionalism of the regional team, earning commendation from the CEO for their impressive performance and commitment to excellence.<\/p>\n

The engagement is expected to strengthen collaboration between the national leadership and regional officers as the Ambulance Service continues efforts to enhance timely and efficient emergency medical care delivery across Ghana.<\/p>\n
