The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Ambulance Service, Dr. George Owusu, has commended personnel of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) serving in the ambulance service for their dedication and professionalism, assuring them of plans to integrate them into the country\u2019s mainstream emergency response system.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking during a parade inspection ceremony held in his honour in the Upper East Region, Dr. Owusu praised the commitment of the YEA personnel and acknowledged the critical role they continue to play in supporting emergency healthcare delivery across the region.<\/p>\n

According to him, the contribution of the young officers has significantly strengthened the operations of the Ambulance Service and enhanced emergency response efforts in many communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe expect you to learn on the job, and we will recruit you and add you to the mainstream emergency services,\u201d Dr. Owusu assured the personnel, emphasizing the Service\u2019s commitment to nurturing and retaining dedicated young professionals.<\/p>\n

He further expressed gratitude to the YEA officers for their hard work and sacrifice, describing them as an important part of the Ambulance Service\u2019s success story.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate everything you do, and we are happy to have you on board,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The visit formed part of efforts by the Ambulance Service leadership to engage personnel on the ground and strengthen collaboration with the Youth Employment Agency in improving emergency medical services nationwide.<\/p>\n

Dr. Owusu noted that integrating YEA personnel into mainstream emergency services would not only provide employment opportunities for the youth but also boost the capacity and efficiency of Ghana\u2019s emergency healthcare system.<\/p>\n

The ceremony also served as recognition of the efforts of YEA ambulance personnel who continue to work as frontline responders in providing critical pre-hospital care to citizens.<\/p>\n

Observers say the partnership between the Ghana Ambulance Service and the Youth Employment Agency has become a vital pillar in expanding emergency response coverage, especially in underserved communities across the country.<\/p>\n
