As part of his developmental agenda to reduce the plight of commuters to access roads in his constituency, the Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim, Dr Prince Hamid Armah has begun rehabilitation of some major roads in the area with asphalt overlay.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2km road from Assakea to Whindo communities is being rehabilitated and asphalted by the MP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other communities within the constituency would receive similar facelifts as part of the MP move to make transportation easily accessible by his constituents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The going roads project work is one of the MP activities to mark his one year in parliament and as a way to express his appreciation to the good people of Kwesimintsim for electing him as their representation in parliament on December 7, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Armah earlier told EXPRESSNEWSGHANA<\/strong>, the road sector is one of his development focus in Kwesimimtsim, as most of the roads had deteriorated with some broken-down drains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kwesimintsim, he said is one of the cosmopolitan areas in the Western Region with a fast-growing economic potential but the roads network remained a challenge, making transportation difficult for residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He assured the constituents of his commitment to addressing their developmental needs while delivering his constitutional duty in parliament with a high calibre of debate and projecting their interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the rehabilitation of the roads, Dr Armah said the repairs and asphalts would ease the difficulties commuters face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon Prince Armah is a member of the Eighth Parliament having won the 2020 Parliamentary elections on December 7, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the closed of the polls on December 7, Dr Armah secured 24 759 out of the total votes cast representing 64.91 per cent against his closed competitor, \u00a0Philip Fiifi Buckman, who managed to obtain 13385 votes representing 35.09 per cent of total votes cast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He initially beat Joseph Mensah, the then incumbent MP for the area during the internal parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in April 2020, to annex the candidature to contest the general election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently in Parliament Dr Prince Armah is the Vice Chairman of the Education Committee and as well as a Member of the House Committee of Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
