The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwesimintsim in the Western Region, Hon Dr Prince Hamid Armah, has provided Assembly members of the seven Electoral Areas in the Constituency with over 40 pieces of streetlights as part of an initiative to light up major roads, streets and communities within their electoral areas in the constituency.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move is part of an effort by the MP to help fight armed robbers and kidnappers whose activities have surged in the municipality and parts of the region in recent times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative would see the installation of streetlights along some major roads and streets, vantage sections in some communities and other identified spots in all the seven electoral areas within the Constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He had earlier distributed and installed over 600 streetlights for Chiefs and assembly members in all the seven electoral areas in the Constituency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon Dr Armah who is currently on a tour of the Constituency following Parliament recess has visited some communities within the constituency where he interacted with the constituents and later presented street lights in his constituency office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He seized the opportunity to also inspect some ongoing roads and bridges projects in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEarlier this week, I met with the elected Assembly Members in my constituency for extensive discussions about community development. Our discussion centred on some of the challenges they face in their respective electoral areas and how we can collaboratively address them sustainably. It was a great time reflecting on the work done for this year and the outlook for next year. I presented them with some 40 street lights and their Christmas hampers,\u201d Dr Prince Armah stated.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Criminals in most of the reported cases across the country, hide in dark spots along roads and some isolated spots within the communities to carry out their heinous acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is therefore the hope of the MP that the supply of the streetlights would help expose these criminals who hide in the dark to perpetuate their activities including snatching motorbikes, and women hang bags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon Armah seized the opportunity to also inspect some ongoing roads and bridges projects that link farming communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a very caring MP who live by his words, the lawmaker also visited bereaved families within the area to express his sympathy to them for the loss and to reassure the communities of his determination as MP to work hard to bring the needed development in the constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He reaffirms his commitment to ensuring that the development needs of the people were met and asked for their support and prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
