A Presidential Staffer, Newton-Offei Justice Abeeku is virtually gaining notoriety for unnecessarily talking about other persons on social media with malice for reasons best known to him.<\/strong>
His latest prey is the Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and heads of agencies under his ministry with an unexplained post that the minister and heads of agencies under him should resign if they are tired.
The social media post has been offered prominence by some news portals and has attracted lots of commentaries.
Whiles some are wondering what exactly prompted the Presidential Staffer to throw in such unwarranted effusions, others read meanings into the post.
The Ministry of Energy is credited with ensuring that erratic power supply is now a thing of the past.
The heads of various agencies under the energy ministry have worked together to place the energy sector on a better pedestal and Ghanaians would easily attest to that.
The Ministry of Energy time and again has assured Ghanaians, especially the business community that there will never be erratic power supply (Dumsor) in the country again.
The current power rationing in parts of Accra has been explained thoroughly by the GRIDCo and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
In a press release dated April 10, 2020, the two agencies explained that there is reconstruction of transmission line from Achimota to Mallam substations and assured that there will be no Dumsor.
\u201cWhilst we confirm the reconstruction work on our transmission lines has commenced since Saturday, April 9, 2022, we wish to assure the public that the ongoing work will not lead to any DUMSOR,” the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor the information of the public, Phase 1 of the reconstruction exercise of the transmission line from Mallam Substation to Avenor was undertaken and successfully completed in November 2021 without any significant disturbance to power delivery in Accra and its environs,\u201d it added.
It continued, \u201cPhase 2 of the exercise from Achimota Substation to Avernor will similarly not disrupt power delivery in Accra. As part of measures to improve power delivery in Accra and its environs, GRIDCo and ECG have commissioned the Pokuase and Kasoa Substations.\u201d
The two entities said the bulk supply points of Kasoa, Mallam, Accra Central, Pokuase and Achimota Substations have enough transformer capacities to meet the desired demand without any load curtailment or load shedding.
GRIDCO and ECG further reassured the general public of delivering adequate power supply while it undertakes the reconstruction works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
