Several roads in the Tain Constituency of the Bono Region, have been badly damaged and is affecting food production in particular and the agriculture sector in general<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The utmost concern to the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon Adama Sulemana is the condition of the Nsakaw\u2013Seikwa , Nsuhunu-Nasanya-Bepoase roads, whichhe said are regarded as the heart of the Tain Constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the lawmaker these roads need urgent repairs even as roads at several places deserve similar attention from the government to reduce farm produce wastage in his constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon Adama revealed this after he had posed a question to the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwesi Amoako Atta in parliament on Friday, July 22, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


“Mr. Speaker, I rise to ask the Minister for Roads and Highways, when the Government will construct the following roads in the Tain Constituency; Nsawkaw to Seikwa, Nsuhunu to Nasanya-Bepoase road,\u201d the MP questioned the sector Minister<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In response, the sector Minister, Hon Kwesi Amoako Atta said the upgrading of the 30.4km road of Nsawkaw to Seikwa was awarded on contract under the Cocoa road program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Minister, there has not been progressing in work on the project since the contractor moved to the site in September 2021, saying that, the Ghana Highways Authority has issued a warning letter to the Contractor to move to the site and failure to do so would lead to termination of the Contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the 20.15km Nsuhunu-Nasanya-Bopoase road, the Minister said the road was awarded on contract for the bituminous surface to be complete in 2021, but work is currently at 10 percent complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
