{"id":8022,"date":"2022-09-01T14:53:10","date_gmt":"2022-09-01T14:53:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=8022"},"modified":"2022-09-01T14:53:10","modified_gmt":"2022-09-01T14:53:10","slug":"committee-report-indicts-ghana-school-of-law-src-prez-over-financial-impropriety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=8022","title":{"rendered":"Committee Report Indicts Ghana School of Law SRC Prez Over Financial Impropriety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Executive Council of the Ghana School of Law Student Representative Council(SRC) wants criminal investigations launched into alleged procurement infractions and financial impropriety case against the outgoing President Wonder Kutor, and other executives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A report of an investigation dated 22nd August 2022 conducted into the matter said there was a prima facie case established against the beleaguered SRC president and his cohort.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is evidence to support a conclusion that the SRC President (Wonder Victor Kutor), placed himself in a position where his personal interest conflicted with that of the Ghana School of Law Students\u2019 Representative Council (SRC) in the procurement and purchase of the Toyota Corolla Vehicle with registration number GM 3222-21,\u201d a copy of the investigative report sighted by\u00a0<strong><em>Starrfm.com.gh<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0read.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Financial impropriety allegations\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ghana School of Law management tasked a committee to investigate the alleged financial impropriety against the current leadership of the Ghana School of Law.<\/p>\n<p>Among other allegations, the SRC President, Wonder Kutor was accused to have sold his own 2014 Toyota Corolla to the SRC at a price believed to be exorbitant and using a sole proprietorship company registered in his name in the said transaction.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8023\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8023\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8023\" src=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/279250364_5233322153391392_3733145442336172745_n-e1662043647612-300x236.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/279250364_5233322153391392_3733145442336172745_n-e1662043647612-300x236.jpg 300w, https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/279250364_5233322153391392_3733145442336172745_n-e1662043647612-600x473.jpg 600w, https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/279250364_5233322153391392_3733145442336172745_n-e1662043647612-1024x807.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/279250364_5233322153391392_3733145442336172745_n-e1662043647612-768x605.jpg 768w, https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/279250364_5233322153391392_3733145442336172745_n-e1662043647612.jpg 1254w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8023\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">MR WONDER VICTOR KUTOR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The investigative report stated:\u201dIn his capacity as SRC President, Wonder Victor Kutor drew the cheque for the sum of GHS 71,500 and co-signed it with the SRC Treasurer. Thereafter Wonder Victor Kutor received the value of the cheque in his personal capacity as the owner of Submaxinn Consult,\u201d the so-called illegal entity that benefited from the contract.<\/p>\n<p>The report, therefore, recommended a \u201cRescission of the contract for the supply of the Toyota Corolla as being void ab initio based on the non-existence of Submaxinn (Motors) Consult and the misrepresentation in the age of the car.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It also called for \u201cCriminal investigations into the procurement\/bidding process due to the clear case of deceit in passing off a 2014 Toyota Corolla vehicle as a 2015 model and doing so through a non-existent entity.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the report also said members of the Procurement Committee that superintended over the contract must be reprimanded for the lapses in their evaluation of the bids submitted for the supply of the Toyota vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium
