The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled its internal elections timetable for the various executive positions from Constituency, Regional and National.<\/strong><\/p>\n

General Secretary of the Party, Hon Johnson Aseidu\u00a0 Nketiah at the press conference said, all nomination forms for the various constituency and regional executives’ posts could be accessed on the NDC website-www.ghanandc.com.<\/p>\n

According to him, persons eligible to contest at the constituency level for Chairmanship would pay the filing fee at\u00a0 GHC600.00, whereas the Vice Chairman and \u00a0Secretary, GHC 500.00, \u00a0Organizers, treasure, and Communication also pay GHS400.00 each.<\/p>\n

He said filing fees for Youth, Women\u2019s Organizers, and Zongo caucus at the Constituency level is being purged at GHC350, whereas all deputies, youth representative, and eight executives are to pay GHC300.00 \u00a0and GHC200 for their nomination respectively.<\/p>\n

The General Secretary said the opening of nomination forms and filing leading to elections at the Constituency would commence from September 20, 2022, to October 23, 2022.Top of Form<\/p>\n

The Regional elections would follow suit, whereas the party set Saturday 17th December 2022 for the national delegates\u2019 congress.<\/p>\n

Mr. Aseidu Nketiah said nominations for the national delegate congress would be opened on the 20th and 21st of October for the national elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince we are dealing with the whole country, we will allow 14 days for the collection of proposers and endorsers and so on to take place,\u201d Mr. Nketiah said.<\/p>\n

The vetting of aspirants will then take place on November 9 and November 10.<\/p>\n

GUIDELINES FOR THE CONDUCT OF NDC CONSTITUENCY ELECTIONS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. INTRODUCTION<\/h1>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

These Guidelines are made pursuant to Article 15 of the NDC Constitution <\/strong>and designed to ensure the conduct of free and fair elections for the election of Constituency executives, for the NDC, across the country.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The following members of the Constituency Executive Committee shall be elected at the Constituency Conference:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A Chairman<\/li>\n
  2. A Vice Chairman;<\/li>\n
  3. A Secretary;<\/li>\n
  4. A Deputy Secretary;<\/li>\n
  5. A Treasurer;<\/li>\n
  6. A Deputy Treasurer;<\/li>\n
  7. A constituency Organiser;<\/li>\n
  8. A Deputy Constituency Organiser;<\/li>\n
  9. A Communication Officer;<\/li>\n
  10. A Deputy Communication Officer;<\/li>\n
  11. Zongo Caucus Coordinator<\/li>\n
  12. Eight (8) other members;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    The following members of the Constituency Executive Committee shall be elected by their respective organs at a Constituency Youth Conference and Constituency Women Conference attended by all branch Youth Organisers and branch Women Organisers respectively:<\/p>\n

    1. A Constituency Youth Organiser;<\/li>\n
    2. A Deputy Constituency Youth Organiser;<\/li>\n
    3. Other Youth representative<\/li>\n
    4. A Constituency Women Organiser; and<\/li>\n
    5. A Deputy Constituency Women Organiser<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      2. QUALIFICATIONS<\/h1>\n

      2.1 Qualification to Contest<\/h2>\n

      To qualify to contest elections at the Constituency level, the aspirant must meet the following eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Must be a member of the party in good standing in a Branch in the<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Constituency (must have paid dues from 2018)\u00a0 ii. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Must be an active Member of the party in the last four (4) years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
