A Youth Activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Madina Constituency, Emmanuel Mensah Amekuadi, has urged members of the party, especially the youth to work hard and not to allow the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to retain power nor take back the Madina Parliamentary seat in the 2024 general elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He charged party delegates of the upcoming Constituency elections to avoid acrimony and maintain the spirit of sportsmanship and continue to forge unity in the interest of the party.<\/p>\n

Mr. Amekuadi made the call during an interview with EXPRESSNEWSGHANA<\/strong> after he picked his nomination forms of the party through the provided online services to contest for the Executive position of the Madina Constituency.<\/p>\n

The NDC youth activist enjoined the leadership to create a level playing field for all aspirants in the crucial party exercise urging them to follow due process in all party decisions.<\/p>\n

He said, said it was the need to keep a united front so as to retain the parliamentary seat and ultimately annex the Presidency to rescue Ghanaians from the hands of the incompetent Akufo-Addo-led NPP administration.<\/p>\n

While urging the party delegates to follow existing rules and\u00a0vote for the candidate that could deliver victory for the party, Mr. Amekuadi said he is in the race for the opportunity to serve the people through the party executive office.<\/p>\n

He pledged to conduct a clean campaign devoid of personal attacks, stating, \u201cI am seeking election as an executive member to serve my party and to help recapture power in 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a duty as an individual and as a party to rescue this country from the hands of the nation wreckers. They come in the name of strengthening the economy, but today, this country is reported to be the poorest nation and a declining economy, we cannot sit unconcern. We all have a duty and I am offering myself to the delegates of NDC, to give me chance to help in the rescue mission,\u201d Amekuadzi added.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He said the Akufo-Addo-led government came to power on the back of fighting corruption and other lofty promises, but today the NPP government fears to mention the word Corruption and the worse of all, he added, the government cannot boast of any development project that Ghanaians could appreciate them since 2017.<\/p>\n

The NDC vibrant youth activist reiterated his commitment to support the leadership when elected as Executives and urged delegates not to do any mistakes but endorse him in the upcoming internal constituency elections.<\/p>\n

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of NDC approved guidelines for the Party\u2019s constituency, regional, and national elections for the next three months.<\/p>\n

About 7,900 executives are expected to be elected in a total of 876 elections at the constituency, regional, and national elections.<\/p>\n

The Party\u2019s Branch elections, held in about 29,000 branches of the party across the country, is expected to be completed next week to pave way for the next round of elections.<\/p>\n

Per the guidelines, the party will hold its Constituency elections between October 22 and 23, 2022, while the regional elections would be held between November 12 and 13, 2022.<\/p>\n

The National Congress will be held on December 17, 2022.<\/p>\n
