{"id":8482,"date":"2022-09-27T14:24:42","date_gmt":"2022-09-27T14:24:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=8482"},"modified":"2022-09-27T14:25:48","modified_gmt":"2022-09-27T14:25:48","slug":"govt-cant-produce-documents-t-on-agenda-111-project-expenditure-piac-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/?p=8482","title":{"rendered":"Govt can\u2019t produce\u00a0 Documents on Agenda 111 project Expenditure-PIAC claims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC) has claimed the government is yet to provide the Committee with specific details documents of all disbursements amounting to $75.01 million transferred to the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) for the Agenda 111 project.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An amount of US$25.62 million was transferred to GIIF in the first half of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the second time, since 2011, that GIIF has received funds for Government\u2019s Agenda 111 Project.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021 an amount of $49.39 (GHC290, 377,059.18) was allocated to the fund,\u201d PIAC stated in its 2022 Semi-Annual report.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8485\" src=\"https:\/\/expressnewsghana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/download-44.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"290\" height=\"174\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although GIIF insists the entire disbursement was used to support the Agenda 111 Project of the Government, PIAC contends no statement of financial expenditure and receipts relating to the disbursement has been received yet.<\/p>\n<p>PIAC, therefore, recommended that government should direct subsequent disbursements to GIIF intended for Agenda 111, to the Ministry of Health to support the Agenda 111 Project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdditionally, GIIF should focus the utilisation of its share of ABFA on its core mandate of investing funds in commercial infrastructural projects, in accordance with the GIIF Act, 2014 (Act 877) and policy guidelines of the Fund,\u201d PIAC said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source:expressnewsghana.com\/starrfm<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC) has claimed the government is yet to provide the Committee with specific details documents of all disbursements amounting [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":8484,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[11],"tags":[739,2005,2006,1821],"class_list":["post-8482","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-health","tag-agenda-111","tag-document","tag-no-found","tag-piac"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
