The late Agure Awintia, father of the Regional Superintendent of the Greater Accra East Region of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Andrews Nelson Awintia, will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Cedar Mountain Chapel in East Legon, Accra.
Mr. Awintia, who passed away at the age of 86, will be mourned by family, friends, colleagues and members of the Assemblies of God community as they gather to bid him a final farewell.
The late Agure Awintia was also the father of Pastor Samson Atule of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Western North Region, as well as Nehemiah Awande, Francis Ayagabil, Godswill Awintia, Kwaku Awintia and Ama Awintia.
The funeral service is expected to bring together relatives, church leaders, members of the clergy and well-wishers to celebrate the life and legacy of the deceased.
The ceremony will take place at Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon, Accra, on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
